The Latest Porsche Design x SONRA Colab is Highly Limited!
Berlin-based Hikmet Sugoer’s flourishing label has just announced another collaboration with , this time to celebrate their 50th anniversary! This colab will highlight three iterations using SONRA's sneaker, called ‘Past’, ‘Present’ and ‘Future’, aligning with Porsche Design's ‘It’s About Time’ 50th anniversary campaign.
‘Our collaboration with the sneaker label SONRA is a highlight and a further focal event in our anniversary year,’ Roland Heiler, chief design officer of Porsche Design said in a press release. ‘SONRA founder and designer Hikmet Sugoer is the pioneer of the German sneaker scene. His creations combine the values that we at Porsche Design have been living for 50 years – timeless and purist design paired with innovative functionality.’
Kicking off the colab is the ‘Past’ model, which references Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the company's founder, and the 1972 Porsche 911 S 2.4, which was also specially restored for the celebrations! The second iteration called ‘Present’ looks to the this year's Porsche 911 Edition 50 Years Porsche Design, boasting a black and grey build and built in chip, allowing you to access the history and information on the colab. Thirdly, the ‘Future’ will be a one-of-one, created by Sugoer using a 3D printer and is representative of the progressiveness and innovativeness of both brands.
The Porsche Design x SONRA ‘Past’ is limited to only 50 pairs and will be available alongside 50 pieces of the ‘Present’ via the Porsche Design Store Berlin on Kurfürstendamm on November 30. The remaining 200 pairs of the ‘Present’ will then launch online on the same day, following an online raffle for the ‘Future’.
