With the recent Lucien Clarke Louis Vuitton skate shoe, it seems as though the merge of skate culture with high-end luxury may actually be becoming a thing. With that in mind, Amsterdam-based Pop Trading Company and Converse have just joined forces to create two ultra-luxe skate-ready Jack Purcells, with some pretty interesting materials.

For the duo’s second collaboration, they’ve taken cues from Pop Trading Co’s AW20 apparel line. Opting for a slightly toned-down colour palette that’s elevated with premium materials, they’ve gone with the Jack Purcell Pro silhouette in both the Ox and Hi versions. Not only fun to look at, both pairs have been blessed with all the technical details you should expect from a skate shoe. And, with a nod to the high-fashion world, they’ve plastered each model in faux ‘Dragon Skin’ leather, helping each pair to stand out.

Taking a look at the Ox silhouette, Pop Trading Co have doused the upper in a dark purple hue, with matching laces adding depth to the look. The Hi has been dressed in a white scaly upper, with a white midsole and laces making for an incredibly subtle flex. Branding doesn’t go astray either, with co-branded heel tags and Pop Trading Company scripted along the iconic Jack Purcell toe.

Both pairs of the Pop Trading Company x Converse Jack Purcells are available now via their webstore. A wider release is on the way at select retailers around the globe on November 20.
