It seems nothing is sacred in the sneakersphere, with rumours of mythical grails being blessed with retros plaguing the sneaker headlines. Team Swoosh are hellbent on dropping some of the rarest creps in their archive, and while it’s a positive for sneakerheads who weren’t around during this time, there’s also a risk of .

Next up in the news cycle, another nuts rumour has surfaced stating that the x will receive a retro. Originally reported by Nice Kicks, they have stated that it’ll return next year; however, it hasn’t been clarified if there will be any changes or if it will look exactly the same as the OG variation. The original PlayStation x Nike Air Force 1 originally touched down in 2006 and was a strictly Friends and Family release given to close confidants of Sony. also famously had a pair after featuring on the cover of NBA 07: The Life Vol 2. It’s been said only 150 pairs were created, with 50 more recreated and given out in 2009.

This isn’t the first time that the PlayStation x Nike Air Force 1 was rumoured to return, as Team Swoosh had sneakerheads on the edge of their seat with this post back in 2018. However, we never received the 206 variant and instead they dropped the below iteration. Circa that period, also released his signature PG 2 in a PS-themed colourway.

So far, there’s no confirmation yet on what next year’s alleged retro will be or what it will look like, but with Nike heavily invested in their archive, we wouldn’t be surprised if it was. Stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for more info on the release.
