This Week: Pharrell and adidas to Drop Another NMD S1 RYAT

Pharrell and adidas have been collaborative partners for almost a decade and have continued to create a plethora of silhouettes in the NMD range. The HU NMD is basically their bread and butter, but following a leak from early last year, they’ve expanded the line with a model dubbed the NMD S1 RYAT. As well as the black and white iterations, adidas and Skateboard P have revealed an earth-toned colourway – and it’s set to drop this week.

Ahead of the drop, Pharrell said in a press release, ‘The RYAT is a cultural artifact and an object for humans pushing forward on our planet.’

The upper has been doused in a tonal green theme, bolstered by the eclectic mix of ballistic mesh, shaggy suede and synthetic mudguards. Pops of pink and green add a touch of contrast, and the Humanrace branding on the tongue rounds things out.

It’s a timely release, considering Pharrell’s recent appointment as Creative Director of Louis Vuitton Men’s, but fans will undoubtedly be excited to get their hands on the latest NMD S1 RYAT. You can cop pairs from the adidas Confirmed app, the Humanrace website and selected retailers like END.
