Pensole Takes the ASICS GEL-Diablo to Kobe
and Pensole are following up their collaborative drop with a brand new . Dubbed the ‘Once Upon a Time in Kobe’, the Japanese-inspired kicks take cues from both Koi fish and silk kimonos. The result is the winning design by Matt Franklin, Razma Hassani and Blake Scordino for Pensole and Foot Locker’s ‘Fueling the Future of Footwear’ masterclass, garnering the trio a retail release and a cool $12,000 USD prize. It sees the retro runner in shades of blue and white and comes complete with scaly accents and Koi-decorated insoles.
Limited to just 1,000 pairs, the ‘Once Upon a Time in Kobe’ GEL-Diablo will hit select Foot Locker stores and on September 1 for $120 USD.
