Official Images: Patta x Nike Air Max 1 'Black'Release: TBC
After the Amsterdam-based masterminds of Air Max at Patta unveiled their forthcoming Air Max 1 'Black' colab, we now have a look at official images of the style courtesy of Nike. Patta's fourth Air Max 1 colab in the last three months – there's also 'Monarch', 'Noise Aqua' and 'Rush Maroon' makeups, of course – the 'Black' may look simple upon first glance, but it boasts a key material difference from its predecessors!
A rich black tone combines with white, 'Metallic Silver' and 'Coconut Milk' shades across the shoe for a retro sportswear-infused look, complete with extra embellishments like a special co-branded tongue tag and a forefoot Swoosh to accent the AM1's usual pieces of branded flair.
Of course, the key piece of the design is the wavy mudguard – and it's on this mudguard that the above-mentioned material differences come into play. It, and the tongue, are constructed of a unique lenticular leather that gives off a particular sheen somewhere between glossy leather, rubberised satin and shaggy suede. Just like past releases, it's packaged in a special box and accompanied by a co-branded bracelet.
Expect this fourth and final Patta x Nike Air Max 1 to hit the Patta web store on December 10 for $160. A drop at Union and on Nike SNKRS will follow shortly thereafter, though an official date has yet to be revealed.
