Paris Saint-Germain Cross to the Jumpman for Jordan Zoom ’92Release: 10 October 2020
French football giants Paris Saint-Germain have teamed up with Jordan Brand again, this time for a classy rendition of the Jordan Zoom ’92. The colour palette seems to follow the template of recent releases from this duo – specifically the Jordan Zoom Renegade and Air Jordan 4 – with black, white and grey punctuated by heavy doses of burgundy. Other familiar touches include the ‘PANAME’ tag on the lateral side, and the heel logo that celebrates both of these sporting powerhouses.
Inspired by basketball shoes of the early 1990s, the Jordan Zoom ’92 rejigs the popular retro aesthetic of that era, before adding some modern touches to increase comfort levels below the ankles. The silhouette also references key design features of multiple sneakers from the Swoosh stable. Most notably, the stretchy internal sleeve comes from the Air Max 180, while other elements are borrowed from the Air Force 5.
Down below, Zoom Air sits under the balls of your feet for lightweight and responsive cushioning. And the herringbone tread pattern on the outsole reaches up in carefully selected areas to give you more traction and durability.
Pairs will hit Nike and selected Swoosh stockists on October 10, so make sure you’re ready to pounce.
