Palm Angels Debut an Off-White-Inspired Air Force 1
The impact of the 'best sneaker collaboration of 2017' continues to ripple through 2018. At their most recent SS19 runway show, LA skate-influenced brand Palm Angels debuted an Abloh-esque Air Force 1.
Showcased with a tonal black upper, the bootleg pair features every component that an Off-White x Nike silhouette would sport. Neon-pink-printed “PALMLACES” and an iridescent reflective Swoosh give off rave vibes, while the iconic infographic style text on the silhouette’s inner guarantee onlookers will know where inspiration came from. The zip-tie is swapped out for plastic Palm Angels initials, but the shoe is every bit as deconstructed as the original, from the foam tongue to the stitching that holds the Swoosh in place.
We assume Abloh is OK with these cheeky “Palm Air” pairs since both brands are part of New Guards Group. No release news available at the moment so stay tuned!
