Palace Skateboards and Reebok are continuing their long partnership by releasing a new collaborative take on an obscure model known as the Victory G. This heritage running shoe was quietly retroed last year in OG colourways and specifications, but this hi-vis take by the UK skate brand is sure to attract plenty of attention.

The Victory G was one of the first Reebok shoes – and runners in general – to use GORE-TEX waterproof-breathable membranes. It’s integrated as a liner in the entirety of the upper. It may not be immediately obvious on the Palace editions, which use leather overlays and ballistic nylon inserts on the upper. However, a closer look at the lining will reveal the branded lining. Not to mention the retconned GORE-TEX branding embroidered into the lateral toe bumper.

On the colourway front, this is one of Palace’s less low-key efforts. Tan, salmon and teal is somewhat unconventional but still easy on the eyes, but the black, hot pink and lime number is an eyeball burner. And there is a third white, purple and green edition that’s also pretty striking – though that’s up to the eye of the beholder.

The Palace x Reebok Victory G will release exclusively from Palace’s web store and retail locations on February 25, though the Japan and WeChat drop will come a day later.
