Out Now: Packer Take the Ultra4D to the adidas Consortium

Following a mysterious social media teaser late last week, Packer revealed and released their latest collaboration over the weekend. The heritage New Jersey boutique has joined up with adidas again to add a premium finish to the Ultra4D as the teched-out silhouette looks to ramp up its assortment in the coming months.

Ultra4Ds currently in the market have so far been monochromatic editions in a mix of Primeknit uppers, plastic hardware, and 4D-printed midsoles. Packer deviate from the model’s utilitarian aesthetic by introducing a rich blue colour to the Primeknit upper, while also stitching on a lush nubuck toe cap. Tonal depth is added via the midfoot lace cage and teal heel counter, which is matched to the outsole, sandwiching the blacked-out 4D midsole. Some finishing touches include contrast red aglets, subtly branded red triangles on the tongue spelling out P (for Packer), and the adidas Performance logo.

Packer are the first entity to have a collaboration on the Ultra4D model. This will likely mean there are more colabs to come on what is being called ‘a conceptual flagship for adidas style and innovation’. More Ultra4Ds can only be a good thing.
