Converse Launches Heartfelt ‘Find Your Pride’ 2021 Collection
For decades, have made us all feel proud of what we’ve got on our feet and now, for Pride Month 2021, they’re also encouraging us to embrace and find our own pride, launching a heartfelt collection to commemorate the annual LGBTQ+ celebration.
After hearing stories from members of the LGBTQ+ community, Converse identified the shared theme of struggle and eventual self-acceptance. The journey from dark to light, from shame to pride, from hiding to coming out. As the brand eloquently puts it:
‘Everyone has their own journey to finding their Pride. And while we all went through our own individual paths, come Pride Month – we all meet up to march down the same road together.’
Highlighting the Pride 2021 collection is the iconic , as well as one of the new favourites from Converse’s lineup: the . Each design features elements from the ‘Find Your Pride’ mural, the left side of which speaks to the struggle and mountains to overcome, while the right side highlights the joy of self-acceptance and coming out.
That journey is charmingly showcased via two Chuck Taylor All Stars and a Chuck Taylor All Star Low, which all come through with vibrant, colour-clad graphic uppers, and matching rainbow outsoles. Meanwhile, the trail-inspired Run Star Hike silhouette represents with a gradient rainbow Star ankle patch, heelstay, and pinstripe along the midsole. Down below, a lugged, colour-blocked outsole and graphic sockliner projects the ‘Find Your Pride’ feels.
