Our First Look at the SEGA x PUMA RS-0 'Sonic'
We recently caught wind of an upcoming SEGA x PUMA ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ collaboration, but were only given a pixelated 16-bit image and 30-second teaser vid to whet our appetites. Answering the call, PUMA’s senior marketing manager, Clyde Edwards, has come through with the first real shot of the much-hyped RS-0 ‘Sonic’.
There are no surprises in terms of colour palette, as a wool-like blue upper is complemented with yellow and red detailing. Obligatory PUMA and ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ logos sit pretty on the tongue.
Part of PUMA’s latest offering, the revived RS-0 silhouette refreshes the brand’s Running System family with design dipped in neo-nostalgia. It’s built with a bootie sitting snug in leather uppers, and is set to release a range of 80s-inspired colourways. Classic shoe, classic video game — it’s a win-win.
