Onitsuka Tiger are Future Forward with the Tiger Corsair EX
Japan’s have updated their famed OG runner for 2020 by giving it a nip-tuck and facelift – without losing any of its beloved essence! The famed runner is hitting its big 5-0 soon, so it’s a timely update.
The historically significant silhouette has eschewed its original foam wedge midsole for something a bit more modern – the fuzeGEL OT’s fat-free, bendy and pillowy tech becomes the Corsair EX’s core. This successfully throws out any excess baggage. The resulting stepped look will have bystanders craning necks to figure out WTF’s going on!
Up top, the original pattern is preserved, and so is the simple and clean OG white/blue/red colourway. Along for the party is a very period correct ‘Peacoat’ navy. Both look good in leather, and those contrast stripes are very necessary.
