Swiss performance running experts continue to evolve their ever-growing lifestyle lineup, calling on close friend and tennis legend to create an ultra-clean yet tech-packed silhouette dubbed The Roger Centre Court.
Nodding to their roots, On’s design team and Federer used the beauty of the Swiss Alps as inspiration for The Roger’s eco-friendly manufacturing process. The Swiss maestros have crafted the sneaker from vegan leather to reduce material consumption, with the upper composition leaving approximately 30 per cent of the carbon footprint of animal leather.
Blessed with stylish court-inspired looks, The Roger is On’s first product project done in collaboration with the 20-time Grand Slam winner, reimagining the classic tennis sneaker with the latest comfort-geared technology. Federer’s approach to the design was simple: overhauling the bulky rubber soles traditionally used in tennis footwear.
To achieve that goal, The Roger makes use of On’s award-winning CloudTec sole, paired it with its partner in performance: the Speedboard. The two innovations are a killer doubles combo, combining to assist in agile movement. Additionally, an ultra-soft sock-like construction provides a perfect fit, and plenty of breathability.
