Old School, New Cool: The hummel REACH LX 6000 Archive
After some surfaced last week, have fully revealed their latest sweet sneaker set: the Archive. The tasty trio dips into hummel’s century-long heritage for some colourway inspo, then delivers them in a fresh new package.
Developed with , the styling is an artful mix of contemporary tailoring and pure nostalgia, delivered through an unlikely prism. The design is an elevated spin-off from the world’s most advanced handball shoe, which was developed with help from elite handball talent, Alex Dujshebaev.
The collection is packed with throwback features, like the chevron branding that’s been hummel’s trademark for decades, as well as the proven microfibre and mesh upper combination. These heritage credentials lay the foundation for contemporary craft techniques – including welded silicone overlays and translucent ripstop-style inserts – to deliver a high-tech look.
Plenty of running-certified mod cons have also been added, such as speed lace loops to pair with the ergonomically cut tongue, and an Achilles notch for superior lockdown.

In addition to the performance prowess, these are also super cozy, thanks to the plush REACH compound midsoles sandwiched between spongy OrthoLite footbeds. Siped soles also mean you’ll be experiencing more than just one kind of flex!
The collection was launched with a campaign that highlights hummel’s rich sporting legacy, and deep connection to Scandinavian design. Looking inward to further explore their rich heritage, iconic original Danish furniture was used to complement the campaign imagery, with striking locations across Copenhagen also featured in the film! This release offers three eye-catching colourways: lush teal, baby blue, and a rich red. The collection launches globally on August 6, with stock hitting stores across the month.
