Official Images: sacai x Nike VaporWaffle 'Sail' and 'Black'
The x VaporWaffle may have been the worst-kept sneaker secret of recent memory. Countless leaks and teasers have surfaced over the past few months, and for those who thought we’d never see a release, you can relax! We’ve finally been blessed with the official imagery.
colourways of the silhouette made headlines last week, but so far we’ve only received the official pics for the 'Black' and the ‘Sail’ pairs. Both boast serious sacai flavour and continue on the double-up legacy left behind by their 2019 LDWaffle. Along the lateral, we’ve got a dual Swoosh. Up top, there’s layered tongues and double laces. Down below, the silhouette is perched atop a platform-like midsole that scoops up towards the rear.
For these two iterations, the colours may not be bright, but we’re sure they’ll turn heads. The first has been given a black base with white hits throughout. The second, rocks ‘Sail’ with pops of ‘Sport Fuchsia’ and ‘Game Royal’ for some added brightness. Interestingly, along the lateral of each, the bottom Swoosh almost looks like it’s been painted on. Meanwhile, co-branded heel tabs complete the vibe.
