Off-White Release Virgil Abloh’s Limited Nike Air Force 1 Mid ‘Grim Reaper’
A once cancelled creation has joined the ranks of posthumous contributions to his fabled catalogue. have surprise released the Mid ‘Grim Reaper’ colourway, previously believed to only exist in two pairs. Before Alboh’s tragic and untimely passing, the legendary designer’s run of became a defining touchstone in his already rich legacy. His impact is still felt today with various rare and limited pairs seeing posthumous releases.
Created as part of the 40th anniversary, the previously scrapped Off-White x Air Force 1 Mid is adorned with a stunning grim reaper motif, expanded and repeatedly airbrushed across a white leather base. There is a stitched outline on the medial and lateral Swooshes, with neon green coating the primary laces of the dual system and side tab. The design is made complete with an inky black midsole featuring Off-White's signature rubber spikes.
The surprise release fell on the same week as the two-year anniversary of Virgil’s passing. The Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid ‘Grim Reaper’ is currently available via Off-White directly for $205. The pair is not currently slated for a wider release through Nike SNKRS, so for now it appears they’re only available exclusively from Off-White.
