The Next notwoways Sneaker is the syzygy
Small UK sneaker brand have already carved out a cult following for their distinctive models since launching in 2020. With a handful of styles having already dropped to sell-out acclaim, ntw are expanding their assortment and introducing a new model known as the syzygy.
According to the Internet, a syzygy is an astrological phenomenon whereby three or more celestial bodies are aligned in a straight line – for example the sun, moon and Earth in eclipse. Perhaps this is symbolic of ntw’s own progression, whereby they’ve lined up the perfect balance to achieve their mission of ‘creating technical and fashion-forward footwear at an attainable price.’
Or maybe it’s not that deep. It could simply be a reference to the lunar-esque mixture of white and black on the upper, in what seems to be a momentary move away from the brand’s blue-tinged colourways. However, there is still their a signature orange accent hidden in the forefoot and tongue tag. These are the finishing touches on a techy looking sneaker that’s one part retro runner and another part trail-influenced hiker with its layered upper and external hardware.
The notwoways syzygy will release on February 28 at 6PM GMT and will be available in full sizes between UK 3 to 13.
