Nike's Air Footscape Mid Utility Returns With Japanese Inspiration
The was like nothing else on the market when it arrived in 1996. As with any radical design, it wasn't to everybody's tastes, but the side-laced sneaker instantly developed an underground following in Japan, where it has remained a cult favourite ever since. To show appreciation for the nation that made the sneaker an icon, have served up two special edition versions of the Air Footscape Mid Utility.
The first make-up features a navy upper with a hit of green at the heel. An olive version features a topographic representation of Tokyo. Iconic locations such as Harajuku and the Watari Museum of Contemporary Art are highlighted on the prints contoured lines. Both designs feature oversized Swooshes on the left shoe and the classic Footscape logo on the right.
