LeBron James’ debut signature sneaker, the Nike Air Zoom Generation, is still widely regarded as one of LeBron’s finest silhouettes.

Originally introduced in 2003, the shoe timestamps an incredible 20 years in the NBA for LeBron. Equipped with a full-length Zoom Air unit, the classic material construction features a lightweight mix of leather and mesh. For the latest colourway, Nike are adopting a classic Cleveland Cavaliers home colour palette, the so-called ‘First Game’ recalling the very first time LeBron wore the sneakers at home at Ohio’s Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

Last seen in 2017, the Cavaliers-inspired colourway belonged to Nike’s first-ever LeBron retro run and was released in limited numbers. Composed in ‘White’, ‘Midnight Navy’, and ‘Varsity Crimson’, the model features golden ‘11-5-2003’ embroidery on the red lining – an allusion to LeBron’s aforementioned home debut.

Finally, the Air Zoom Generation features the ‘L23’ logo on the tongue – a homage to LeBron’s number 23.

Look for the Nike Air Zoom Generation ‘First Game’ to land on March 21.

In the meantime, check out another colourway of LeBron’s iconic silhouette – the upcoming ‘Dark Grey’.
