Nike Whip Themselves into A React Frenzy
experimental D/MS/X, N.354 and THE10TH divisions have churned out some pretty wild creations since their inception over a year ago, but things are about to get even crazier with the , the latest output from THE10TH.
Founded on a principle of utilitarian problem solving, the franchise is inspired by Bill Bowerman’s time in the 10th Mountain Division, infusing its designs with outdoor flavour and functional details.
The React Frenzy takes workboot-utility and adds a sprinkle of bball steez, while also adding a heavy dash of modern style for 21st-century urban soldiers. The asymmetric upper features a padded collar and ankle-wrapping tongue for cush, while nylon and nubuck bring lush textural variation. The swooping mudguard provides an eye-catching segue from upper to sole unit, as well as a welcome pop of colour.
Down below, THE10TH designers have gone all out with the React foam, laying down a thick wedge of the proprietary cushioning, while midsole inserts bump up the boldness even further.
