Nike’s Total 90 III Returns with a Barça Bang

legendary Total 90 III has made a triumphant return in 2025, with the latest edition paying homage to Barça’s rich footballing heritage.
This edition ditches the studs for a flat gum-rubber sole, making it street-ready while staying true to its pitch-born DNA. The upper is wrapped in sleek leather, with asymmetrical colour-blocking that mirrors Barcelona’s famous kit – blaugrana blue on the lateral side, garnet red on the medial. A black embossed Swoosh and circular ‘90’ emblem bring the heat, sitting atop a crisp white midsole and grippy black outsole.
Originally launched in 2004, the Total 90 III came from a golden era of Nike Football, when audacious design met raw performance. As the third instalment in the Total 90 series, it introduced innovations like an off-centre lacing system for a cleaner strike zone and a circular ‘sweet spot’ on the instep for pinpoint accuracy.
Worn by legends like Wayne Rooney, Luís Figo, and Francesco Totti, it quickly became a fan favourite – not just for its functional chops, but for its aggressive aesthetic and bold colourways. With that unmistakable ‘90’ branding and futuristic panelling, the T90 III captured the chaos and charisma of early-2000s football: fast, fearless, and full of flair.
The Nike Total 90 III ‘FC Barcelona’ is set to drop over the coming months with a retail price of $115. You’ll be able to grab a pair through Nike’s website and select boutique retailers. Check out the official images above and keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.
