The may be one of newest models to hit shelves, but the Swoosh is already dipping back into the archive for colourway inspiration. This upcoming edition is particularly reminiscent of the Air Mowabb due to its beige, orange and blue accents.
Spark is a new cushioning technology that appears to be based off the now ubiquitous sole plate system advocated by Nike and a number of other major shoe brands. The difference here is the plate runs along the entire length of the sole, rather than just the forefoot. This can be seen via the exposed orange strip along the middle of the midsole. The different foam colours above and below this plate also suggest dual density compounds, likely to deliver both support and cushioning in tandem with the Spark plate.
The top side of the Spark Flyknit is suitably techy to match its midsole. There’s Flyknit absolutely everywhere on the upper, and the rear cuts away to reveal an inner bootie to cradle the foot. So, the Mowabb colourway inspiration could serve as something of a spiritual tribute, given it also pioneered the bootie fit and external heel counter.
Expect the Nike Spark Flyknit in Mowabb colours to arrive in coming months.
