The Nike Shox R4 Is Back With a Vengeance

Nike’s perennial Shox tech never really went away and neither has their Shox R4 silhouette; however, it did slightly fall off the map of the mainstream sneakersphere. In recent years, the Shox tech has found a home among fashion-savvy individuals through the Shox TL silhouette and the Martine Rose collaboration. Last year, there was also select few colourways of the R4, with a Supreme collaboration dropping the year before that.

Next up for Shox in 2024, retailer GR8 has shared a campaign that hints that the Shox R4 is back and commanding respect. Nike will be pushing a fresh batch of Shox R4s in simplistic two-tone colourways that are ultra wearable. The highlight pair is a mostly black leather combo with added red accents. The second is a white-toned iteration that also houses silver panels. Boasting its same aggressive tooling and eye-catching demeanour that it's known for, this batch of imagery helps bolster the Shox R4's cultural clout. Maybe the R4 will take the crown from the TL as the fashionsphere's favourite Shox sneak.
