The Nike SB Blazer GT is a skate-modded edition of the classic basketball sneaker, and the GT designation is expressly tuned for team rider Grant Taylor. While first sights may not reveal much, a closer eye on these low-cut skaters will spot the specific changes made.

For example, check out the midsole walls. The forefoot and toe bumper are textured for grip, while the rest of the side wrap is left smooth to prevent any unintentional board contact. Down below, the outsoles use deep herringbone tread for proven board grip and outstanding durability.

Up top, the suede specification is super sturdy, and high-wear panels such as the eyestays are double layered for extra toughness. Peep that metal top eyelet too. Other tech features include a soft and spongy foam tongue, and a Zoom Air–embedded insole for additional underfoot protection.

Star perforations at the arch are a subtle detail, while the fat-bellied Swoosh is not. Especially when presented in this bumblebee yellow (technically 'University Gold') and black colourway. A custom woven Grant Taylor tongue tag distinguishes these from regular Blazers, and the contrast light blue Swoosh is a left field but welcome splash of colour.

These Blazer Low GTs are out now from Nike Japan.
