Instant photo company Polaroid have officially announced a new sneaker collaboration with Nike SB on the Dunk Low. This nostalgia-fuelled crossover is likely going to introduce a new crowd to the sneakersphere and, as it tends to be with these sorts of releases, demand will far outstrip supply.

These Dunks are unique for a number of reasons. The most prominent is the multilayered Swoosh that references the colourful spectrum of Polaroid’s logo. In recent years, Nike have loosened their grip on the Swoosh shape, enabling collaborators and in-house designers alike to reinterpret the iconic logo in increasingly flamboyant ways. And the Polaroid version is certainly out there.

Besides this remixed Swoosh, the shoes are built on a sturdy black suede upper with a white contrast heel counter on white soles – they are made for skating after all. Finishing Polaroid touches include another rainbow spectrum printed across the insoles, the same gradient stitched on the throat, and Polaroid branding throughout.

Peep the shots above which were, of course, shot on Polaroid. Per the announcement, this Nike SB Dunk Low will only be available from select skate shops, plus a limited release on SNKRS. It all goes down on April 5.
