Nike SB Are Reportedly Retooling the Air Max CB 94

are reportedly set to reintroduce a 90s hoops classic with a twist: the Low in a fresh ‘White/Varsity Red/Gum Light Brown’ colourway.
Originally released in 1994, the CB 94 was designed by none other than Built for Barkley’s bruising style, it came packed with heel-to-toe support, lateral stability, and a burly Air Max unit that looked (and felt) like it could survive a backboard collapse. With its jagged overlays and strapped-up stance, the OG model quickly became a fan favourite – standing tall in a golden era of big-man basketball sneakers.
But according to the CB 94 is back – and it’s traded hardwood for concrete. Reimagined as a low-top skate shoe, this version reportedly retains much of the OG’s attitude, but slims things down for a new crowd. The rumoured ‘White/Varsity Red/Gum Light Brown’ combo is clean but classic, and underfoot the Air Max unit stays put.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Nike SB have taken a swing at hardwood royalty. Recently, the skate squad reworked the with grip tape-friendly updates, while the has long been a go-to in SB circles – a street-certified favourite since skaters first raided the basketball aisle back in the 80s. There's also numerous reports of an on the way.
There’s no official word from Nike just yet, but the drop is reportedly pencilled in for Spring 2026 – so expect it to hit shelves sometime between January and March. Stay tuned, 'cos we’ll post you the moment the Swoosh says 'go'.
