The Nike Pegasus Trail 3 Returns with GORE-TEX
The is the latest iteration of the off-road edition to the famous line that was first introduced in 1983, before undergoing the treatment in 1988. This new seasonal release sees the return of .
Now in its third generation, the updates to the Pegasus Trail series tend to be more evolutionary than revolutionary, as a number of familiar features have been reprised from its predecessors. Despite it being one of the few, if not only, member of the extended Pegasus family to not use Air cushioning, this trail version’s React foam is better suited for the rigours of dynamic and undulating terrain. Having already worked well for the first and second editions, the React returns here. The overall silhouette is still largely similar to before.
What has then changed for this season is some tweaking of the upper materials to better suit inclement weather conditions. GORE-TEX, the waterproof yet breathable membrane system, and a mainstay of trail footwear for over 40 years, is used here. The mesh and welded overlay upper has also been redone to be physically shielded from abrasions and ingress, which is stealthily rendered in black. Bright neons top and bottom keep the visibility factor up.
