Nike: On Air Official Images of Air Max 1 'Tokyo Maze'

may be scaling back their Air Max Day celebrations this year, with no hyped releases marked on the calendar, but these Nike: On Air official images work to slightly sweeten the deal.

Japan winner, Yuta Takuman’s ‘Tokyo Maze’ is inspired by the labyrinthine subways beneath the city, with monochrome patterns zigzagging across the upper. The black and white is offset with rainbow laces, while a red Air unit, representing Tokyo Tower, pops against the black midsole.

No release date has been named for these, but we expect word to come from Beaverton sometime soon. We’ll keep you posted.
