Nike Officially Reveal the Harlem’s Fashion Row LeBron 16
and are releasing the first-ever women’s LeBron shoe, joining forces with four designers — Brandice Daniel, Kimberly Goldson, Felisha Noel and Undra Celeste — from Harlem’s Fashion Row for a collaborative take on James’s latest yet-to-be-released signature shoe: the . Billed by the Swoosh as a celebration of ‘the strength of women of color across the globe’, the LeBron 16 ‘HFR’ — which first in August — utilises an updated rendition of the BattleKnit construction that highlighted the LeBron 15, and features the likes of a 3D lion at the heel and a detachable leather bracelet as an ankle strap. The design is further elevated by gold accents throughout while the words ‘Strength’, ‘Loyalty’, ‘Dignity’, and ‘Courage’ — all of which LeBron consistently uses when describing his mom — decorate the insoles.
‘Now is the time for women to really let the world see how powerful we are,’ says Daniel. ‘How powerful we are as individuals, and how powerful we are together.’
‘Those African American women when I was growing up, I just saw how powerful and strong they are,’ adds LeBron. ‘You see the life, the energy, the emotions, the flare, the swag, the voice.’
The Harlem’s Fashion Row take on the LeBron 16 will be available from come September 7 for $250 USD.
