Nike Show Their School Spirit for Their NCAA Air Max Collection

With sport at their core Nike are deeply engrained within college culture, and over the years the Swoosh has worked closely alongside schools on a host of themed and collaborative releases. For their latest project, they’ve brought school spirit on the Nike Air Max Solo – each based on a Nike-sponsored school.

A relatively new model for the brand, the Air Max Solo combines elements of past models – most distinctly the Air Max 90 (check out that heel cup) and AM 180, seen on the textured Air Unit. For this NCAA collection, each school’s colours hit the toes, collars and base, while matching branding hits the tongue tabs and insoles. The schools involved in this collection include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oregon, Oregon State, Penn State, Tennessee and Texas. Other details come from the mesh overlays, which are characteristic of the Air Max Solo’s construction.

As it stands we’re still waiting to hear of release dates for the eleven-shoe-strong collection, but take a peep at the upcoming colourways above and stay tuned for more info as it comes in.
