Nike Mercurial Superfly Free (3r Custom)
Now this, this is, err... interesting. Have you been watching the boot close-ups at the World Cup? If you were paying a slither of attention you would have noticed a shock of red flash across your screen repeatedly – it was most likely the shin-creeping Nike Mercurial Superfly. Sneaker customiser Red Ribbon Recon (3R) saw some potential in the design beyond the football turf – perhaps inspired by the recent HTM release which went down the exact same path – and got down to slicing and dicing to spawn something new for the streets. 3R has whipped off the studs and slapped on a Nike Free 3.0 Trainer sole, added a back heel panel made of ripstop nylon (which he grabbed off the shoe's drawstring boot bag – ten points for recycling!), tacked on premium suede pull tabs and brightened up those big-ass Swooshes with a metallic foil leather treatment. What do you think, could the Superfly look super fly out on dem streets? TBH, we're gonna need some convincing. If you dig it holler at the artiste here.
