UPDATE: It mightn't be the first basketball silhouette to feature a lace-covering shroud, but the Kobe A.D. NXT is by far one of the cleanest – and these new images from the only further attest to that fact. The unique toggle-based compression system has been specially engineered to keep the foot locked down from all angles to eliminate slippage, while encapsulated Zoom Air cushioning provides responsive shock-absorbing comfort.

The franchise is staying strong since its namesake's retirement in 2016, continuing the legacy with the new NXT. The new design is rather different to its predecessors, with a Swoosh embedded in the midsole and a unique forefoot shroud fastening system. For the time being, we’ve only got a simple grey colourway – but we’re sure there’s more to come.
