Originally landing in 2012, the Nike KD 4 will always be a favourite among sneakerheads. First worn by Keven Durant during the NBA 2011-12 season, Nike are now revisiting the classic model for the All-Star Weekend in Utah. Adopting the iconic ‘Galaxy’ colour scheme, the interstellar rendition first appeared in Orlando for the All-Star Game in 2012, and accompanied other cosmic releases by the Zoom Kobe 7, LeBron 9 and the Air Foamposite One.

Dressed in OG ‘Metallic Silver’, ‘Total Orange’ and ‘Dark Grey’, the space-age aesthetic is constructed in silver synthetic uppers. Of course inspired by astronaut space suits, the model also features NASA-esque mission patches on the tongues. In terms of branding, the classic KD branding is embroidered on the heels in dark grey, while speckled midsoles again reinforce the interstellar theme.

Other classic KD 4 technology also make an appearance, including Hyperfuse uppers and old school midfoot straps. Underfoot, there are Phylone midsoles and Zoom cushioning in the forefoot to add the extra bounce. The Nike KD 4 ‘Galaxy’ is expected to arrive on February 15 in time for All-Star Weekend.
