The 'Producer Pack' Hits the Nike KD 17
Kevin Durant’s 17th signature sneaker is getting ready to hit the hardwood in the coming months and it looks like KD and Nike are bringing back the ‘Producer Pack’ for the occasion.
KD’s love for rap is pretty well known, and he even recently dropped a verse with Stalley on ‘Scared Money’. This love for rap has met his signature shoes before, with the Swoosh and KD tapping Cardo, 9th Wonder, and Boi-1nda for colourways of the KD 15, and this time they’re bringing in Metro Boomin’, Alchemist and Bink on the KD 17.
Each producer put their unique flair on the KD 17, with Metro opting for an ominous purple and black colourway with lightning bolts placed throughout. An outline of a stuntman is placed on the tongue, which is an homage to Metro’s 2018 album ‘Not All Heroes Wear Capes’, and more homages are placed on the heel. Alchemist goes with a softer lilac look with a gradient similarly seen on the Air Max 95, and 'ALC Records' adorns the tongue with volt accenting placed throughout. Lastly, Bink pays tribute to the 757 and his home state of Virginia, as earthy browns and tans make up the majority of the upper, with olive green accents. Bink’s signature adorns the lateral side, with '2 up and 2 down' stitched on the heel – another Virginia homage.
The Nike KD 17 ‘Producer Pack’ is expected to drop in June 2024. Metro and Alchemist’s colourways are dropping on June 14, 2024, with Bink’s colourway to follow on June 17. Check out the photos above and keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates.
