Nike Joyride Gets the ISPA Treatment
It was only a matter of time before experimental ISPA unit took on the Swoosh's latest cushioning tech, and now we have our first look at the group's inaugural piece of footwear.
Dubbed the 'Joyride Envelope', the new silhouette is tailor-made for the inclement weather that dominates mot of the northern hemisphere at this time of year. Naturally, the utilitarian design employs Joyride tooling, but the real highlight is the futuristic upper. The laceless design not only features ripstop nylon construction and laser-cut perforations, but sports a fold-over shroud for added versatility. Fold it one way to keep out the elements, or fold it the other way to offer the foot more breathability when the weather improves. Last but not least, Velcro straps and moulded overlays help to provide additional support and lock the foot in place.
