Nike Introduce The Future Of Running Footwear
have introduced two brand spanking new silhouettes that they say represent the future of running footwear. And, given they’ve been instrumental in shaping running footwear’s past, we’re inclined to believe them. The Zoom Fly and Zoom VaporFly 4% are the ready-to-wear progeny of Nike’s – a sneaker tuned like a racecar to carry runners through marathons in under two hours. Efficiency is the name of the game for these models, with the ‘4%’ in the Zoom VaporFly’s name coming from the bold claim that it can make runners up to four points more efficient compared to Nike’s next-fastest marathon shoe. The shoe is equipped with an aerodynamically designed heel counter and a full-length carbon fibre plate to minimise energy lost during toe bend.
The Zoom Fly then measures needs of the running elite for those wanting a shoe they can race and train in. Tooled for durability; the shoe employs resilient and ultralight Lunarlon to keep wear and tear to a minimum – meaning you’ll be able to enjoy them for miles longer.
