Get Out the Hay: Nike's Field General 'Cow Print' Is Slated for Summer '25

Following its , the Field General is heading deep into the paddocks of Nike's playful colourway lineup, with a women's exclusive 'Cow Print' allegedly touching its cloven hoof down this summer.
For decades after its 1982 debut, the Field General was largely kept coddled within Nike's archives – a niche piece of performance history known mostly to gridiron enthusiasts. Specifically designed for the various agility, balance and power manoeuvres required from players in the quarterback position, its shining qualities were its light weight and turf-grabbing sole – and that distinctive Waffle outsole was especially key for explosive movements on the field.
When the wave of slim and heritage-inspired silhouettes started to curl over a few years back, the revived Field General found a new audience (in no small part thanks to a ) – however the 'Cow Print' takes the model firmly out of its pattern-shunning tradition and into the barnyard.
The silhouette's 'Phantom/Baroque Brown' colourway gives us a white mesh base with hairy overlays featuring the model's titular splodges on the heel, toebox and eyestays. Your Swoosh overlays and heel tabs get a rich brown leather treatment, with the hue matched on midsole, outsole and tongue branding. White collar lining and laces pull it all together.
The Field General 'Cow Print' is deserving of a spot in your rotation rodeo, and while there's no definitive release info yet, we'll be keeping track of all updates right here on Sneaker Freaker.
