Nike's New Dunk Low Encourages Cubs to Seek the Wild

have been adding a li'l extra spoonful of sugar to the kids' Flavor Aid this month, ensuring spirits remain adventurous – even in the sneaker realm. A couple of weeks ago the Swoosh revealed the on the Dunk Low, and now they've hit the same model with another intrepid stamp.
First things first – the tongue logo and under-tongue message. On the 'Snowman', the 'NIKE' tongue branding shivered under a sprinkling of sleet – and on the new 'Seaweed/Ochre' it's formed out of tree branches sprouting leaves. Under the tongue is where Nike are putting their invigorating affirmations, such as 'MAKE YOUR OWN TRACKS' on the 'Snowman'. Here, they've stuck to the Autumn-trek theme with 'TAKE THE LONG WAY HOME', encouraging little feet towards explorative inclinations.
The model's construction mixes materials and colours which evoke the kicks' key motifs: brown gum outsoles (for the hills), 'Seaweed' leather overlays (for the coast), 'Cargo Khaki' on the tongue and toe box (for the forest) and on the quarter and across the counter, canvas in 'Green Abyss'. Does the print look like a bunch of camo blots and dots? It ain't so – look closer and you'll see tiny bugs, butterflies, centipedes and starfish. An earthy 'Ochre' comes in on the Swoosh, and plaited orange laces tie it all together.
Delayed gratification begone – the Nike Dunk Low GS 'Seaweed/Cargo Khaki/Green Abyss/Ochre' is ready to cop right now for $100 on the Nike website. Move quick, 'cos sizes are getting snapped up.
