Year after year, Nike continue to celebrate region-specific festivities such as Chinese New Year and Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) with specialised collections of creps.

Next on their list is one part of the Japanese Spring Festival called Setsubun, which is usually held every year on February 3, the day before the beginning of Spring in the traditional Japanese calendar. The occasion itself focuses on rituals that ward off bad fortune and evil spirits with traditions such as throwing soybeans out of the front door or wearing scary oni masks.

Creating a Dunk Low for the occasion, it’s been injected with a bunch of details that are sure to whet your appetite. Leaked imagery has come through courtesy of sneaker sleuth @pvasneakers.

The colourway is incredibly pleasing to the eye, boasting a tonal brown and beige look, constructed of a dual leather and suede combination and elevated by the subtle ‘Viotech’ Swoosh and liner. An embroidered graphic detail can be seen on the rear replicating the masks worn with traditional Japanese artwork adorning the midsole.

There’s been no release or official information on the Setsubun-inspired Nike Dunk Low, however stay tuned for the upcoming details.
