The Potent Nike Dunk High GS 'Venom' Arrives at JD Sports
As expansive parade of continue marching right along in 2022, the Swoosh have looked to their archives several times, crossing between and Nike Sportswear to tell classic colour stories in a fresh way for a new generation. One of the results of that experimentation is the Dunk High GS 'Venom' – a kids-sized take on a classic SB release from the late aughts – which is set to touch down at JD Sports!
Originally debuted on an back in November 2008, the black-and-white 'Venom' colourway was a follow-up to a 'Spider-Man' SB Dunk Mid that released the same month, making for an unofficial Dunk-style battle between the web-swinger and one of his greatest foes. The original 'Venom' overlays were slightly darker than its base (a detail that's replicated here), and the whole assemblage was split by a symbiote suit-approved white Swoosh and white laces! Of course, there are a few differences between the 2008 and 2022 versions: this re-release boasts a full leather upper instead of a leather-and-suede mixture, and the collar is much thinner to lock in its classic hoops look.
