Nike Doernbecher 11th Freestyle Collection
The good views of the latest Nike Doernbecher Freestyle collection have arrived. Every year, the program gives a handful of creative patients at the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon the opportunity to design their own Nike sneaker colourway, and in 2014 there are six new models with companion apparel packs arriving. 10-year-old Caden Lampert, who suffers from an autoimmune disease, oversaw the creation of a special Air Jordan VIII; 8-year-old Chase Crouch opted for a furry green and gold Stefan Janoski; 14-year-olds Tim Haarmann and Missy Miller took care of some boys and girls Nike Free 5.0s, while 8-year-old Alejandro Munoz whipped up an Air Max Penny and 15-year-old cystic fibrosis sufferer Addie Peterson put some polka dots on an Air Max Thea. Check all the models out in the gallery above.
The 2014 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection will be available beginning Sunday, Nov. 23, on nike.com and at select Nike retail locations across the country, with all proceeds from the sales of the collection benefitting OHSU Doernbecher.
