Nike Builds Factory Flaws into the SF Air Force 1

Nike continue to run with the industrialised, deconstructed aesthetic dominating the Swoosh landscape in 2018. Prompted by Virgil Abloh’s work on ‘The Ten’ series, Nike’s design team have implemented certain unfinished aesthetics across their silhouettes, the latest being the SF Air Force 1 Mid.

Made to look like a factory recall, the SF Air Force 1 runs exposed seams, interrupted linework, text printed across other text, and style notations, altogether emphasising the work-in-progress build.
