Inundated with retro products, it can be easy to forget that is a company built on innovation. The constant pursuit of ‘what’s next’ carried the Swoosh to heights only envied by others. However, creating new silhouettes is not a thing of the past in Beaverton. Several new designs have already been rolled out this year, with more still to come. One such design was just revealed: the Nike Ava Rover.

Seemingly built on the back of the the new Ava Rover comes in very on-trend. Post-pandemic consumers have prioritised street-ready comfort and being outside. The Ava Rover caters to both of these; it is adjacent and embodies the uber-popular runner style. The sleek upper is quite techy, and the minimalist design is embellished with a pixelated graphic print. This rests atop a chunky ReactX midsole and thick trail-ready outsole. This gorpcore-inspired model is begging to be paired with an jacket, and it will debut in three general release colourways. As Nike often does with new models, the Ava Rover will be kicked off by a collaboration. South Korean designer Hyein Seo is debuting the model. The Ava Rover is uniquely positioned at the center of the granola, techwear, and everyday comfort Venn Diagram. The first colourway is scheduled to release on July 25, with the other two following close behind. Stay tuned for any updates.
