Nike's Air Zoom Vapor X Meets the Air Tech Challenge IIRelease: 26 June 2019
After previously meeting the likes of the Kyrie 5 and 'The Glove', the Zoom Vapor X is getting another hybrid-style makeover from Nike. The source of inspiration this time around? None other than the classic 'Hot Lava' rendition of the Air Tech Challenge II.
As a nod to Andre Agassi's infamous 1991 kicks, the Swoosh have prepped two different versions of the design, both with lightweight knit upper construction. While the NikeCourt Vapor X TC Knit boasts a circular-knit upper and the original Air Tech Challenge II tooling, the Air Zoom Vapor X Knit is designed specifically for modern tennis play and sports the same knit upper (though sans leather Swoosh and heel), but with the Zoom Vapor X's usual low-profile midsole/outsole design.
Both NikeCourt designs are set for a June 26 drop.
