Release Details: Nike Air Tuned Max ‘Blue Void’
Debuting in the lead-up to a new millennium, the – cult-loved by 90s Airheads – was loaded with all the starry-eyed technological innovation of the early 2000s. Many have long-anticipated the return of the Tuned Max and this year it arose from its slumber for the first time since 1999.
Now our patience has finally been rewarded with a mountain of colourways having dropped this year, and the latest ‘Blue Void’ hits shelves this week.
Alpha Project certified, the Air Tuned Max reappears in its sleek profile enlivened by breathable synthetic overlays and tonal TPU detailing. Joining a number of lifestyle-oriented colour palettes this year, the ‘Blue Void’ uppers are off-set by the legendary Foamposite ankle counters. Of course reinforced by the signature Tuned Air cushioning, the model looks aesthetically coherent to the retro-futurist sneakers on display in 2021, not surprising given fashion’s proclivity for 20-year trend cycles.
The Nike Air Tuned Max ‘Blue Void’ lands on November 11.
