The Nike Air Max Scorpion Was Created Entirely During the Pandemic

Update September 15, 2022: Nike has officially rolled out the Air Max Scorpion with the ‘Phantom’ as the first release. They’ve also shared that their latest Air Max was one of the first silhouettes to be created entirely during the pandemic. Made up of twenty per cent recycled content by weight, you can cop the ‘Phantom’ on October 5.
Update September 2, 2022: The Nike Air Max Scorpion ‘Phantom’ is beginning to release, and they’re set to arrive in runs of men’s and women’s sizes. Naked have announced they’ll be stocking women’s pairs. You’ll be able to shop them on September 9. Stay tuned for more retailers to come.
Update July 8, 2022: Following the initial reveal, official imagery has begun to circle of the Nike Air Max Scorpion ‘Phantom’! No release date has surfaced yet, but stay locked to keep updated.
We recently wrapped up the in 2021, and before the year’s out, it looks like there’s going to be plenty to rave about in 2022, particularly when it comes to Air! This year Team Swoosh continued to serve up killer Air Max releases across many of their key silhouettes, with a notable mention going to the and its many new iterations.
Moving into the New Year, Nike will be looking to revive its line, and what better way to do that with a whole new model – and leading the charge is the brand new Air Max Scorpion. A hybrid of sorts, the shoe’s upper has been constructed with Flyknit, featuring a prominent Swoosh on the heels, as well as a mini Swoosh on the toebox. You’ll also notice that it appears to take cues from Nike’s revolutionary , with its extended Air sole unit reminiscent of the Air Max 2021.
There has been no confirmed release date for the Nike Air Max Scorpion, but it can be expected to land next year in September.
