Race to Foot Locker for the Nike Air Max PulseRelease: 26 March 2023
March is one of the most exciting months on any sneakerhead’s calendar – because it brings the promise of new Nike Air Max releases. The date that many will have circled is March 26, better known as Air Max Day. This year’s edition will be capped off with the Air Max Pulse, a new model that builds on the Air-soled foundations of its predecessors while adding a fresh look for modern lifestyles. The place to be this Sunday is Foot Locker, who will be debuting the Pulse for Air heads Australia-wide.
The most striking element of the Air Max Pulse is also its most familiar: its Air Max heel unit is adapted from the Air Max 270, one of the Swoosh’s most popular creations. Nike have updated the midsole carrier surrounding the unit to be chamfered off for a sleeker look, connecting it to a reconfigured tread pattern that evokes the brand’s classic waffle design.
Up top, the leather mudguard smoothly links up to the mesh topside, balancing classic styling with contemporary functionality. According to Nike, the Air Max Pulse is inspired by the pounding music scene of London, which is represented on its launch colourway via clean, near-monochromatic ‘Phantom’ grey with heart-racing red accents. The copious dotting throughout the upper also adds to the design’s BPM-raising looks.
Enough hot air about this hot Air. Race over to Foot Locker doors and webstore on March 26 to find the Nike Air Max Pulse in men’s and women’s editions.
