Nike's Air Zoom Spiridon Is Hot to Go in Fiery Fuchsia

Hot Fuchsia Nike Zoom Spiridon sneakers on a pale purple background

A new addition to Nike's Air Zoom Spiridon series is hurtling towards your rotation in fierce fuchsia, sporting an intriguing mix of materials that'll satisfy whichever texture you're feeling in the moment.

The Spiridon silhouette was introduced to Nike's suite in 1997 and was named for Greek amateur runner Spyridon Louis, who won the marathon at the very first Olympic Games in 1896 (and became an immediate cult hero). The Spiridon was a keystone in Nike's pressure-mapped sneaker design development, crafted with the goal of improving cushioning for runners. Just last month the model was released in a purple-splashed colourway – – but the upcoming 'Hot Fuchsia' presents quite the mauve marinade.

The silhouette hollers a vibrant mix of 'Canyon Purple', 'Negre' and 'Viotech' hues, which will swiftly sort the wallflowers from the truly bold. The upper offers breathable mesh and fuzzy suede Swooshes alongside a cheeky denim-esque mudguard. The midsole is a sculptural swirl of Zoom Air cushioning which wraps the heel in a chunky cuddle, and the outsole presents the Zoom Air unit amongst some seriously grippy segmentations.

The Nike Air Zoom Spiridon 'Hot Fuchsia' is due to drop in August, with an expected price of $170. Keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for all the updates!
