Don’t Let the Nike Air Max Plus ‘Shark Attack’ Bite You
The has broad appeal across the globe, but there are a select few countries where the model remains sacred, with cult nicknames to boot. In Australia, the 1998 model is referred to by many monikers, such as EnTays, Tinas, or simply TNs. In France, where the perennial Tuned is as iconic as a croissant, they’re referred to as ‘Le Requin’ or ‘the Shark’ in English. Over the years, Nike have nodded to the iconic nickname with a plethora of shark-themed releases, but none have been as literal as the ‘Shark Attack’.
Recently surfacing through official eComm imagery from Team Swoosh, the aptly named iteration comes covered in an aquatic blue hue and oceanic graphics and is reminiscent of the ‘Swimming Pool’ iteration that touched down back in 2016. A sea of black on the midsole, veins and overlays wraps the graphic mesh base layer, and splashes of red are scattered throughout to represent blood in the water, including the outsole Air units and Swoosh outline.
A drop is yet to be scheduled for the Nike Air Max Plus ‘Shark Attack’, but keep a close eye on your local Tuned stockist to keep updated.
